The Cleo Awards is distinct from other awards organizations in that we have rotating awards. We narrow down the final categories based on the strongest nominations from our panelists given throughout the season. In season one we awarded 15 trophies. In season two we awarded 20 trophies.

  • Best dramatic portrayal from a single performer

  • Best comedic portrayal from a single performer. Bonus points for making a panelist cry

  • The smoothest recovery during a live performance by one or more performers

  • Outstanding performance by a lead actor which is able to elevate the entire production

  • Best vocal performance from a single performer in a production

  • The best lighting design for a production

  • Superior set design and decoration in a production, either one singular set or the overall effect

  • Excellent sound design, including sufficient audio levels, well-integrated effects, and appropriate ambience. Bonus points for no mic issues.
